Festival of the beata Sor Francinaina Cirer

Sencelles recalls each year the anniversary of the death of Sor Francinaina (1781-1855), who was beatified in 1989 and named, in 2011, patron saint of the catechists of Mallorca by the Vatican. A religious trade is held during the morning, accompanied by the ball de l’ofrena, a dance of simple movements to the sound of the melodies of thexeremies, (musical instrument similar to bagpipes). During the afternoon, it is possible to visit the convent of las hermanas de la Caridad.
