First Meeting on Commissariat and Critic of Art

The Association Critics and Commissioners of Art on the Balearic Islands (ACCAIB) organize this event to be held at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Es Baluard. The aim is to show the role of professionals that enable the presence of the work of artists and creators in our society, in a time when the economic situation is endangering the entire cultural sector.

There will be five interventions, in Castilian and Catalan, and the program is as follows:

20:00 h.: Welcome and introduction by Pau Waelder, ACCAIB president.
20:10 h.: Can Marquès: una experiencia privada y particular (Can Marquès: a private and particular experience) by Nieves Barber, director of Can Marquès Contemporaneo.
20:30 h.: Usos y formatos de la crítica de arte (Uses and formats of art criticism), by Asun Clar, art criticism.
20:50 h.: (Dis) locating art by Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta, curator and art critic.
21:10 h.: La dona i la crítica d'art by Georgina Sas, curator and art critic.
21:30 h.: El comissariat com a experiència didàctica (The Commissariat as a learning experience), by Jordi Pallares, visual educator and independent curator.
21:50 h.: Turns of Questioning.
