The American cartoonist Russ Heath was born in 1929. From a young age he discovered that drawing was his passion and he has dedicated his life to it. In the forties he was hired by the publisher Atlas Comics, and spent several years passing through all sorts of genres, from horror to wester through fantasy and science fiction.
In the decade of the 50 he published historical cartoons and about subgroups as Sea Devils, but he was especially noted for his dedication to the war genre, drawing hundreds of pages of Haunted Tank and Sgt Rock.
Russ Heath was not only a cartoonist he also flirted with advertising and alternated collaborations with various editorials. He drew scripts for Kurtzman and also worked for Dell or Fox In the sixties he participated in Little Annie Fanny, a series of cartoons that were published in 1962 in the men's magazine Playboy.
