Forma Antiqva

The Festival de Música Antiga de Palma closes its XXV edition with Farándula castiza. Cartelera instrumental de corrales y coliseos, a program that has won the quality seal of the Association of Classical Music Festivals of Spain (FestClásica) 2021.

The proposal comes from Forma Antiqva, one of the most important classical music groups in Spain. This formation takes the music of theater, of show business, and revives the cultural focus that was Madrid in the mid-18th century. A nest of farces, ditties and openings, of passion and affection in a perennial brawl through the city's corrals and coliseums.

Directed by Aarón Zapico, who also plays the harpsichord, Forma Antiqva is made up of Jorge Jiménez (violin), Daniel Pinteño (violi), Pablo Zapico (guitar) and Daniel Zapico (theorbo).
