Pep Canyelles (Palma, 1949) has had four decades of artistic career and celebrates it with this exhibition which reflects on the consistency and the travelled path. It is also a reflection on how time and work give content and meaning to our concepts; on the dialogue that arises between the beginning and the present of the artist.
Although it has Fragiles as a title, the exhibition puts the focus on what has actually remained of the work of Canyelles over these forty years of labour, with more or less distinct shapes and materials. It presents a very specific selection of works (painting and sculpture) since his beginnings in the seventies to the latest creations.
A tour which passes through small pieces of wood and polychrome metal, to the large formats in iron without any color of the 90s and 2000s and a return to color and small size (close to the concept of object-sculptures ) of recent years. The exhibition is organized by Tracalics. Gestió de la Cultura.
