The Mallorcan virtuoso violinist Francisco García Fullana (Palma, 1990) is a regular in the programming of the Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears (OSIB). On this occasion he faces an unusual format playing concertmaster-conductor, as well as soloist in Beethoven's violin concert.
Francisco Fullana debuted at the age of 9 as a soloist with the OSIB and at 15 he dazzled audiences and critics at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid, where he played with a 1713 Stradivarius that had belonged to Pablo de Sarasate.
After winning the 'Pablo de Sarasate' National Violin Award in 2006, he began his international projection and in 2012 he won the First Prize Atlantic Symphony Concerto Competition and Special Audience Award in Boston.
The program for this concert consists of Violin Concerto, Op. 61, by L.v. Beethoven, and Symphony No. 41, K. 551, by W.A. Mozart.
