Francisco Garcia Fullana (Palma, 1990) is a young virtuoso violinist with a brilliant career behind him. He debuted at age 9 as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and, at just 15, he dazzled audiences and critics in the concert of the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, where he played a 1713 Stradivarius that had belonged to Pablo de Sarasate.
After winning the 2006 National Prize for Violin 'Pablo de Sarasate', started his international projection and this year 2012 he has won the First Prize in the Atlantic Symphony Concerto Competition and the Special Audience Prize, held in March in the city of Boston.
In this concert Festival de Música Clásica del Port de Sóller he performs accompanied by pianist Alexander Malter, artistic director of festival. The program includes Sonata No. 1 in B minor, BWV 1014 for violin and piano, JS Bach; Sonata No. 2 in A major, op. 100 for violin and piano by J. Strauss; Sonata No. 19 in E flat major, KV 302 for piano and violin, WA Mozart; and Sonata No. 3 in E flat major, op. 12 for piano and violin, L. v. Beethoven.
