'Freightened. The Real Price of Shipping'

The cycle Redescubriendo la mar projects Freightened. The Real Price of Shipping (Spain, 2016), a documentary directed by Denis Delestrac that analyzes how the maritime industry has become a key player in the world economy.

90 percent of the planet's raw materials are transported on the 60,000 ships that continuously ply the sea lanes around the world. This lucrative activity has become the invisible and silent industry that moves the world economy and for which a high social and environmental cost is paid.

The presentation and subsequent discussion will be led by Sandra Ayuso (member of Greenpeace) and Ariana Domínguez (researcher and promoter of maritime heritage).
