'From the Mediterranean to the world'

Solidarity concert of the Cor de Dones de Sant Francesc d'Inca on its V anniversary. 70 percent of the profits will go to help Xisco Pol, a child from Inca who suffers from severe bone marrow aplasia.

The concert program symbolizes a trip from the Mediterranean to the world performing traditional songs from our landscape (with arrangements by Xabier Sarasola or Baltasar Bibiloni) combined with a repertoire from other places and cultures such as Greece, Morocco, Argentina or Africa. Different arrangements, compositions and staging by authors such as H.W. Ledbetter, V.C. Johnson or E. Whitacre, among others, will make the concert a journey full of sound and visual contrasts.

The concert will be conducted by Cristina Llabrés, with Andrea Díaz (piano), Àngela Puig (cello) and Evaristo Pons (percussion) as soloists. With the special collaboration of Children's Choirs from the Conservatory and Municipal Music School Antoni Torrandell d'Inca (conducted by Damià Payeras) and Musicart Children's Choir from the Lloseta School of Music (directed by Cristina Llabrés).
