Four paintings and two sculptures form this exhibition with the latest of Rafa Forteza. A work that is surprises for its colors and the space game it proposes, "the vision of the work and not a passing through it," according to the artist himself. Its title alludes to the conscious desire to observe to understand.
Rafa Forteza (Palma, 1955) began his career as an artist in the early eighties influenced by such figures as Joseph Beuys, Warhol and, most especially, Marcel Duchamp, of whom he borrowed his famous phrase "there is no solution because there is no issue ". He also feels heir to the Spanish and German informal tradition of the second half of the twentieth century.
His works are part of important international collections (the MOMA in New York, the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, Centre Pompidou in Paris ...) and in 2015 he will have a major retrospective at the Museo Es Baluard in Palma.
