A tribute Concert to Mallorcan violinist, teacher and composer Bernat Pomar i Pomar (Palma, 1932-2011) within the 13th European Day of Jewish Culture.
Involving Francisco Garcia Fullana (Palma, 1990), a young virtuoso violinist with a brilliant career behind him. He debuted at age 9 as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and, at just 15, he dazzled audiences and critics in the concert of the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid, where he played a 1713 Stradivarius that had belonged to Pablo de Sarasate.
After winning the 2006 National Prize for Violin 'Pablo de Sarasate', started his international projection and this year 2012 he has won the First Prize in the Atlantic Symphony Concerto Competition and the Special Audience Prize, held in March in the city of Boston.
In this concert he performs accompanied by pianist Oscar Caravaca (1985), a very common duo on the scenarios of Mallorca. Caravaca was first prize in the National Piano Competition of Palmanyola (in the editions of 2000 and 2001) and has been awarded several times in international competitions.
