'George Sheridan. Life and work'

George Sheridan (1923-2008) was an American painter who came to Deià in the seventies and established his base there with his wife Cecile, also an artist, until the end of his life. He founded the group Els deu del Teix, which also involved other foreign artists who found in Deia their refuge and paradise.

The exhibition of Can Prunera features paintings and works made of newspaper, collage of photographs and assembly with ropes. In his work prevail colors that cover the entire pallet, views, expressionism, forms that are structured and slightly geometric, and above all, his humanity. A work of peace of mind and wellbeing.
