The German artist Rebecca Horn presents in La Lonja this sculpture group dedicated to the figure of the Blessed Mallorcan Ramon Llull, when this year marks the 700th anniversary of his death.
Glowing Core which takes its title from its namesake poem consists of a central work, a light sculpture of 18 meters high and 16 sculptures exhibited around it. A work designed for this beautiful Baroque building invites you to meditate on peace, inspiration and light that Mallorca, where the artist travels frequently, offers.
The installation is designed with very different materials: electronic parts, mirrors, steel, light, cacti (characteristics of the island) and sound. The music of Hayden Chisholm, created for the exhibition reflects the movements of the sculptures.
