Last concert of the Chopin 2018 Festival of Valldemossa with two outstanding young Spanish performers. The cellist Guillermo Pastrana (Granada, 1983) is one of the great talents of the current interpretation, winner of the Premio Ojo Crítico de Radio Nacional 2014 and the Premio Granada Joven in 2015. For his part, Marc Heredia (Barcelona, 1988) is a talented pianist praised by specialized critics.
The program consists of Suite No. 1 in G major for cello solo, BWV 1007, by Johann Sebastian Bach; Sonata for cello and piano in D minor op. CD 144, by Claude Debussy; Sonata in G minor for violoncello and piano op. 65, by Frédéric Chopin; and Spanish popular songs, by Manuel de Falla.
