This exhibition is part of the project Biblioteca Nacional de España: otras miradas, (National Library of Spain: other views), held to mark the third anniversary of the institution and in which participate museums of several Spanish cities, among them, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Es Baluard of Palma.
The works, which are shown on the Ground floor of the Museum, reflect the relationship of the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges and his sister Norah with Mallorca. It consists of two parts: first, the postcard they sent from the island in 1920 to the ultraist poet Adriano del Valle, on the other, the fresco painted by Norah Borges that year and which belongs to the collection of Es Baluard.
This fresco, representing motherhood, was hidden for many years in the old Hotel de l'Artista of Valldemossa, where the brother and sister stayed, before it was removed from the wall.
