The Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears opens the III International Music Festival Vila de Santanyi with this concert that directs Smerald Sphaiu. As soloists will perform Catalina Roig (flute) and Luisa Domingo (harp).
Catalina Roig (Santanyi, Mallorca, 1980) is a teacher of the Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance of Mallorca since 2000 and member of Boreas Quintet de Vent. For his part, the Valencian Luisa Domingo is one of the leading figures of the new generation of performers, with major awards including Gold Medal Competition 1992 Cordoba (Argentina) or Critical Eye Award National Radio of Spain in 2006.
The program consists of Amusement in D major K 136 and Concerto for Flute and Harp in C more K 299 of Mozart; Adagio for string op. 11 of Samuel Barber; and Simple Symphony op. 4 of Benjamin Britten.

This artist is the resident artist of the Third International Music Festival Vila de Santanyi, with a solo exhibition that also opens this afternoon at the Exhibition Hall of the City of Santanyi, where it will remain until April 25.
