This documentary brings us closer to the figure of Ilham Tohti, a Chinese intellectual who has been sentenced to life imprisonment in his country for defending Uighur rights.
Ilham Tohti was winner of the PEN / Barbara Goldsmith Freedom to Write Award 2014 and the Martin Ennals Award for Human Rights Defenders 2016, an award granted by Amnesty International.
