'Immigration Line', by Alberto Borea

Alberto Borea (Lima, 1979) reflects on contemporary socio-political realities and challenges, through his works, the structures of control and power of states, either by building assemblies as symbols of the history of dictatorship and political and social inequality in his native Peru, or denouncing the US immigration system - where he lives and works currently - through masks made with immigration forms.

Another issue that Borea raises is the global phenomenon of tourism, its relation to the massive migration flows and the transformation of the rural and urban landscape it involves. Globalization, territory, identity, migration, ruin and disaster are concepts that underlie in his critical discourse.
