'In modo antico novo'

The American lutenist Hopkinson Smith (New York, 1946), specialized in Renaissance and Baroque lute-music, is one of the invited artists in the SMA2019 (Setmana de Música Antiga) of the Colònia de Sant Pere.

In In modo antico novo he proposes a program that contrasts seventeenth-century works (Dowland and Holborne) with music of the twentieth century (Manuel Ponce).

The VIII Setmana de Música Antiga (Antiga Music Week) is celebrated from July 18 to 27 and is organized by the Music Association of the Colònia de Sant Pere.
