Third concert of the I Festival Chopin de Joves Talents 2016. The young pianist Joan Travé (Palma, 1991) performs works by Frederic Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Karol Szymanowski and Grażyna Bacewicz.
Joan Travé studied advanced piano at the Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands, under the tutelage of Miquel Estelrich and Manuel Carra, obtaining distinction and receiving the Extraordinary Thesis Prize . He is currently performing a master of piano performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main with Prof. Catherine Vickers.
Interested in Chopin's work, he conducted in 2012 a research project on a manuscript of Chopin preserved in the Carthusian monastery of Valldemossa.
