This is one of the eight young artists participating in the cycle Noves Presències 2013 organized by the Consell de Mallorca. In Les Papallones de Paper (paper butterflies) Joana Esteva includes a series of works full of tenderness and delicacy in which she only used materials as paper and needles.
Through these, the artist constructs symbolic forms, simple and pure, which represents repetitively butterflies. Colonies of this insect in different colors that form geometric or symmetrical shapes, with which she wants us to reflect on the difficulty of finding large number of butterflies in our natural environment.
