Joel Joan presents 'Fènix 11 * 23'

The Catalan actor Joel Joan gets behind the camera to direct, along with Sergi Lara, this drama based on real events. Fènix 11 * 23 (2012) tells the story of Eric Bertrand, a guy who in 2004, at age 14, created a website inspired by the novel of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to promote the Catalan language.

One night, thirty Civil Guards of the anti- terrorist Brigade broke into his home and accused him of being a computer terrorist, for sending an email to a supermarket chain requesting labeling in Catalan.

Joel Joan, Sergi Lara and Eric Bertrand (now 22 years) will present the film and, after the screening, they will participate in a dialogue with the public.
