Open day at the Museu d'Art Modern i Palma Contemporary Baluard occasion of International Museum Day. This year under the theme Museums (memory + creativity) = social progress.
There will be participatory workshops for families with children aged 3-12 years in the terraces of the museum, guided tour of What is a museum? and dramatic readings of literary texts with artistic theme by students of the Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic de les Illes Balerares (School of Drama Balerares Islands).
You can visit the new permanent collection Duality. Works from the collection Es Baluard, dedicaded to five notable artits associated with Mallorca: Miquel Barceló, Miguel Ángel Campano, Ñaco Fabré, Ferran García Sevilla and Guillem Nadal. The works, all large format, are representative of the dialogue between figuration and abstraction in the field of painting from the eighties to the present.
