Already in his youth, Kenny Garret (1960) enjoyed fame as a member of the Duke Ellington Orchestra and the band of Miles Davis. He has been nominated for the Grammy Awards on several occasions winning the Grammy for Best Instrumental Jazz Album in 2010 for Five Peace Band-Live.
Kenny Garret (alto / soprano sax) is presented in quintet format with Corcoran Holt (acoustic bass), Samuel Laviso (drums), Rudy Bird (percussion) and Vernell Brown (piano).
