Kyle Eastwood is considered one of the best contemporary jazz bassists and composers. He regularly collaborates with his father, Clint Eastwood, in the creation of the soundtracks of his films, such as Invictus, Gran Torino or Mystic River. He participates in the XII Jazz Voyeur Festival with this concert in front of his quintet and the Master Class Composing music for movies.
With an eclectic and brilliant career, Kyle Eastwood has played at the most prestigious jazz festivals around the world. His concerts are nourished by original compositions and fascinating versions of songs by Count Basie, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus and, his favorite, the soundtrack of Cinema Paradiso by Enrio Morricone.
Kyle Eastwood (vocals and bass), Andrew McCormack (piano), Chris Higginbottom (drums), Quentin Collins (trumpet) and Brandon Allen (saxophone).
The XII Jazz Voyeur Festival is held from October to December and programs six concerts, four screenings, five Master Classes and a Q&A session (questions and answers) with Martirio.
