Leslie Helpert acoustic concert

Singer, poet, dancer, novelist, professor of song and composition .... American Leslie Helpert is a multifaceted artist who has performed in more than 200 locations and has composed hundreds of songs.

At age 11 she started with piano, guitar and singing, and thereafter studied American avant-garde jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and Naporra University of Colorado. She lives in the United States and Europe, spending long periods in Barcelona. There in the Whatabout studies, she just recorded her sixth album.

Leslie Helpert is a big fan of Billie Holiday and often pays tribute to her in her concerts, like the one held last year with the quartet of guitarist Albert Vila.

At Can Monroig we can listen to her alone, accompanied only by her guitar in an intimate atmosphere.
