With only 15 years old, this young Chinese pianist has already won several contests, such as the National Junior Wallace Piano Competition and the Ruby Hay Pianoorte scholarship. He arrives in Mallorca to open the new edition of the Deià International Music Festival.
He offers a program composed in the first part by Chaconne in D minor, by Johann Sebastian Bach; From Violin Partita No. 2 BWV 1004, arr. Of Ferruccio Busoni; Sonata in C major, Op. 2 No. 3, by Ludwig van Beethoven; And Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brilliant in E-flat major op. 22, by Frederic Chopin.
The second part to four ballads by Chopin: Ballad No. 1 in G Minor Op. 23, Ballad No. 2 in F Major Op. 38, Ballad No. 3 in E flat Major Op. 47 and Ballad No. 4 in F minor Op. 52.
Deià International Music Festival, with artistic direction by Alfredo Oyágüez Montero (Madrid, 1967), is celebrated from May 4 to October 5 with concerts in la Sala de Música de la Casa Museu de Son Marroig, one of the Old properties of the Archduke Luis Salvador in the Serra de Tramuntana. From its terraces you can see a spectacular sunset over the sea.
