In the video The Artist Behind The Aura (2014), Carles Congost unfolds, through an actor voice, five autobiographical anecdotes related to a serial of projects never made, through them he gives form to a story about the itinerary of contemporary art in Spain in the two last decades.
This work has been an inspiration for a serial of paintings and sculptures through which the artist revisits some of his past works and shows some new unseen proposals, reflecting on the authorship of the images, the artifice and the repetition.
