Lucia Fumero Trío

Among the guests at the 28th Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla is the Barcelonan Lucia Fumero, winner of the first Jazz Prize of the Musical Youth of Spain in 2020. An award that is added to the one received in 2022 for the trio that she leads, the prize for the Best Emerging Band awarded by the Spain Jazz Platform.

Lucia Fumero confesses influences of all kinds in her sound universe. Starting from folk and passing through jazz and classical music, which results in a unique and especially original proposal.

In trio format, she presents a collection of songs – some with lyrics and others only instrumental- from her work, Universo normal de ella, which, as she herself says, "is a door to her imagination."

The Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla festival, organized by the Culture Department of the Sa Pobla City Council, is one of the most anticipated events for jazz lovers on the island. The 28th edition is held from July 26 to August 23, 2022 and schedules an opening concert in Plaza Major and four in Parc de Can Cirera Prim.

In addition to the concerts, the festival hosts the 17th Traveling School Play Jazz seminar, from August 12 to 14 at the Sa Congregació Cultural Center, the Literature and Jazz cycle and the photography exhibition Et regalo la meva mirada by Josep Lluís Luna, which will be shown outdoors at Parc de Can Cirera Prim from August 2nd to 23rd.
