'Madre coraje'

The Seville company Atalaya Theatre - National Theatre Award 2008 triumphs on stage with this key piece in the works of Bertolt Brecht that, in turn, is one of the great texts of the twentieth century theater. With it they have traveled the mainland and it is now presented in the Auditorium of Sa Màniga as one off show in Mallorca.

Since its premiere, Madre Coraje  (Mother Courage) has collected the prize for the best show on the Premios Escenarios de Sevilla, four awards at the Feria de Teatro de Palma del Río (Best Actress, Best Costume Design, Best Director and Best show) and Best Director Award at the Theatre Festival Ciutat de Palencia.

Brecht extracted the central character in this drama of the novel The mischievous Courage, of HJCH. Von Grimmelshausen, and situates it during the Thirty Years War. About the work, the German playwright and poet wrote: "War is only the continuation of business by other means, but in war big business is not done by the common people and in war human virtues become mortal ". An event that, to our dismay, has not lost its relevance. Show in Castilian.
