In 2004, Kepa Junkera won the Latin Grammy for Best Folk Album with his live album K. Since then, the Basque folk musician has released twelve albums. The latter is entitled Maletak (2016), which has entered the list of the Top 100.
Now he presents it in Mallorca within the X edition Circ de les Cultures accompanied by members of the formation sorginak, resulting in a show of dance, tambourines and traditional Basque drums as the txalaparta.
Not forgetting the trikitixa, a small accordion of Italian origin that is used in the Basque Country since the nineteenth century and of which this composer, producer and musician is an acknowledged master. An instrument that Kepa Junkera - Music Award for Best Traditional Music Album 2011 for the album Herria- has been playing for 35 years and which has revolutionized the traditional music blending styles.
Kepa Junkera is accompanied, on percussion, dance and tambourines, by Leire Etxezarreta, Eneritz Auslestia, Garazi Otaegi and Alaitz Eskudero.
