It is the second edition of this fair dedicated to comics, anime, science fiction and fantasy organized by the Manacor City Council Department of Culture.
It is celebrated on Saturday May 6 in different parts of the city (Claustre Sant Vicenç Ferrer, plaza Convent, plaza dels Pares Creus i Font i Roig, calle Major and calle Muntaner), with activities related to the freak world and a proper decoration for the occasion, with fantastic elements such as a replica of the car used in the filming of the movie Ghostbusters.
There will be a multitude of proposals for the freakiest, such as the Cosplay contest, with fiction, science fiction and mythological themed costumes; Just Dance game demo; or the exhibition and demonstration of virtual reality games and high-speed car driving simulators and other sports.
The epicenter of Manafreak will be the cloister of Sant Vicenç Ferrer, where there will be a playroom with board games for all ages, laser sword and magic wand workshops, and a robotics creation workshop. A caricaturist artist will make caricatures for those attending the fair who so wish and, without leaving the cloister, it will be possible to visit the exhibition of fighting and fencing with medieval weapons with the long sword or the saber.
Another of the fair's venues will be the Hort dels Fares garden, located in the Pares Creus i Font i Roig square, where a steamumk-style apocalyptic troupe will perform (an artistic and sociocultural movement inspired by a retrofuturist environment that mixes elements of science fiction and fantasy and where steam technology is still the majority) and a colla dedicated to the universe of Harry Potter.
The fair will also have a wide range of food trucks on Muntaner street, where visitors can taste different types of cuisine.
