Nosotras las mujeres (Us women) is the title of a poem by Edith Södergran, which Maria del Mar Bonet set to music and recorded on the album Alentar (SonyMusic, 1977). The singer-songwriter now presents a show about the universe of women, accompanied by Dani Espasa on piano and accordion.
Together they interpret some of the poetesses and authors that are part of the discography and the extensive repertoire of songs of the Mallorcan. Songs from all periods of her career revisited along with some very recent ones.
Maria del Mar Bonet and Dani Espasa have collaborated on stage since July 2000. The pianist is one of the most celebrated musicians on the Catalan scene. In addition to arranging and musically directing some shows, he has worked on Bonet-Terra Secreta (Picap, 2007)-record works, and is a regular accompanist of the singer on stage.
