Maria del Mar Bonet sings Rosselló-Pòrcel

Coinciding with the centenary of the birth of the Mallorcan poet Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel, Maria del Mar Bonet releases a new work, which includes the songs based on poems by this author which she has recorded throughout her career.

Under the title Fira encesa, the Mallorcan singer pays tribute to the figure of the writer who is most linked to her musical career. Campana, Sonet o A Mallorca durante la guerra civil  are essential themes of her repertoire, compiled on the new album, with unreleased songs as Pluja en el jardí de l'Ateneu, Poques paraules surten i Quan arribarà aquell moment.

Maria del Mar Bonet, accompanied on piano and accordion by Dani Espasa, will also sing other Mallorcan poets to whose work she has put music to, like Gabriel Alomar (Estrofa al vent), Miquel Ferrà (Jardí tancat), Miquel Costa Llobera (Cançó de Na Ruixa Mantells i El pi de Formentor) or Maria Antònia Salvà (Cel d'Horabaixa i La Petxina).
