The Palma City Council organizes Jazz per Nadal, a series of free concerts held on Sundays in December. The fourth concert will be given by the Marie Martín Quartet, which shares an eclectic repertoire, with original songs from Marie's album and her favorite standards with her own arrangements.
Marie generally meets with musicians who, like her, are lovers of encounters and jazz music, as well as world music and other styles... lovers of diversity.
Her repertoire is a journey through styles that sometimes merge or take us with our hearts to destinations where Marie has left her suitcases at some point in her life... between Europe, America and Africa.
In 2012 she participated as a finalist in the vocal competition of the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), chaired by Quincy Jones.
Marie Martín, vocals, Pierre Bauzerand, piano, Cuenca, double bass, and Shayan Fathi, drums.
