Marta Blasco, works 2004-2012

The Area 1 of Casal Solleric contains a selection of paintings, drawings, videos and copper plates which this artist from Valencia (Manises, 1974) has produced ​​since 2004 to the present. The works of Blasco favor the fusion of influences from contemporary figuration, and of reconsidering one of the most representative genres of Western art history like the portrait.

This exhibition highlights the Corpus, compositions with a subtle eroticism that link to the religious representations of lying bodies. Seldom has the view of a woman on the body of a man proved so sensitive and personal.
