With five Latin Grammy nominations, Barcelona-born Miguel Poveda is one of the most respected cantaores of the moment. Together with guitarist Jesús Guerrero, from the Island of San Fernando, he presents a traditional singing recital in which he will cover some of the most representative songs of flamenco and which is a tribute to Paco de Lucía.
He also surrounds himself with Paquito González on percussion, a percussionist from Sanluque who accompanied Paco de Lucía on his last album La Canción Andaluza, as well as the Jerez native Carlos Grilo. He is also accompanied in the recital by another great singer from Jerez, El Londro, who also knew the genius from Algeciras closely.
In short, a recital in which Miguel and his cast will pour out their love and admiration for the brilliant Paco de Lucía, who also recorded with Poveda the song by Alegrías titled Serafino for his album arteSano (2012).
The concert is part of the programming of the new edition of the Paco de Lucía Mallorca Festival.
