'Miquel Cardell, un homenatge'

Jazz has given as much inspiration, stories, and rhythm to literature as one of John Coltrane's tracks could have beats. Now, jazz and literature are intertwined in this proposal of the 28th Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla with this tribute show to poet and journalist Miquel Cardell, an enthusiast of the Sa Pobla jazz festival programme.

The group Negrei3colors, with the broken voice of its vocalist Jaume Bergas, creates this function acclaiming his writing, his poetry, singing his work.

The Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla festival, organized by the Culture Department of the Sa Pobla City Council, is one of the most anticipated events for jazz lovers on the island. The 28th edition is held from July 26 to August 23, 2022 and schedules an opening concert in Plaza Major and four in Parc de Can Cirera Prim.

In addition to the concerts, the festival hosts the 17th Traveling School Play Jazz seminar, from August 12 to 14 at the Sa Congregació Cultural Center, the Literature and Jazz cycle and the photography exhibition Et regalo la meva mirada by Josep Lluís Luna, which will be shown outdoors at Parc de Can Cirera Prim from August 2nd to 23rd.
