Swing night at Sala Palmanova with two of the most active groups of the genre in Mallorca: Monkey Doo and Wacky Tobacco
Monkey Doo is a swing band that tries to recover the most popular essence of this style of music, both in the repertoire of classic songs from the 20s and 30s and with the use of instruments of the time. It is made up of Sergio Tecglen (ukulele, banjo, backing vocals), Néstor Casas (trumpet, lead vocals), Dídac Buscató (cubobass, helicón, high hat, backing vocals) and Joan Llabrés (washboard, backing vocals).
For its part, the jazz and swing music trio Wacky Tobacco consists of sax, double bass and drums. They have a repertoire that ranges from the most sober classics to the most lively and danceable reinterpretations.
