'Mostellaria'

Mostellaria, also called Comedy of the Ghost or Comedy of Apparitions, is a play written by the Latin playwright Plautus. It is part of the XVIII Mostra de Teatre Aficionat a Palma Burball 2022.

It tells the story of Philolaches, a young Athenian who, guided by her slave Tranion, leads a messy life since her father, Theopropides, left on business trips three years ago. He has asked a usurer for money to buy his beloved Filemacia. When the father returns, he locks the house and lies to Theopropides, telling him that they have bought another house and abandoned this one because it was haunted.

Mostellaria is represented by the Associació d’Alumnes del CEP Son Canals, Aula 3 Teatre, Associació d’Amants del Teatre, Teatreros and Mademico Teatre.
