The Orquestra de Cambra de Mallorca, conducted by Bernat G. Quetglas, presents a monograph dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with two of the most brilliant works by the Austrian composer: Piano Concerto no. 9 and Symphony No. 40 in G Minor.
Both pieces are influenced by the pre-romantic Sturm und Drang (Storm and Momentum) movement, which developed in Germany during the second half of the 18th century and had manifestations in music and the visual arts.
The Piano Concerto no. 9 in E flat major, K. 271, known by the nickname of Jeunehomme (apparently the surname of a French pianist with whom Mozart had fallen in love), will be accompanied by the young Mallorcan pianist Cristina Allès, a resident for years in Germany.
