The Clàssica al Teatre cycle proposes this concert dedicated to the Symphony number 9 by Antonín Dvorák, better known as the New World Symphony. It will be carried out by the Acadèmia 1830 orchestra, conducted by Fernando Marina, who will perform the work with the orchestra version of the instrumented chamber by Iain Farrington.
In 1892 Antonín Dvorák moved to New York to direct the Conservatory of Music, a stay that lasted for three years. At that time, the Czech composer wrote several works, the most well-known of him being this New World Symphony, which closes his symphonic cycle.
