The Nit de l'Art (Art Night) marks the beginning of the art season. Was the first event of its kind held in Europe, initiated in 1996 promoted by two associations of gallery owners: Art Palma and the Independent Association of Art Galleries Baleares (AIGAB).
It is an artistic, ludic and social event, in which the people of Palma take to the streets and enjoy until midnight the proposals offered by art galleries, museums and cultural centers. In this edition involves 21 exhibition spaces in Palma and seven in the rest of the island. Most of them inaugurate exhibitions with which they open the new season.
This year also marks a cycle of Art, Video, Performance and Sound Art at the Fundació Pilar i Joan MIró.
