This is one of the most popular works of classical music, the last complete symphony of German composer Ludwig van Beethoven and the only musical composition declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Its final, a choral movement, has become a symbol of freedom. The Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands 'Ciutat de Palma', under the direction of its proprietor Salvador Brotons, and Coral Universitat de les Illes Balears, directed by Joan Company, offer this program in a unique setting, the Cathedral of Mallorca.
The concert will be held to benefit the Projecte Home Balears, an organization dedicated to prevention, treatment, training and research of the phenomenon of drug addiction.
