Open days

Open days at the Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga on the ocassion of the  Balearic Islands Day. It is located in a typical Majorcan house known as Can Sabater, where the writer Lorenç Villalonga (1897-1980) lived here during the summer months and during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). The building was purchased by the Consell of Majorca in 1996, and was inaugurated in three years later under the name of Fundació Casa Museu Llorenç Villalonga.

Its aim is to promote the life and work of one of the most important Majorcan writers of the 20th century, author of works like Mort de dama  (1931), La novel·la de Palmira  (1952) and Bearn o la sala de les nines  (1956), among others. The house museum is also a generator of activities related to contemporary literature.
