Open days

Open days at Museu Monogràfic de Pol·lèntia  on the ocassion of the  Balearic Islands Day. Through drawings, panels and archeological remains, this museum shows its visitors the ancient Roman city of Pol·lèntia, founded by Caecilius Metellus in the year 123 BC. This ancient city is located outside the medieval walls of Alcúdia’s historic center and it has all been declared historic-artistic site.

In the museum, of which its funds are managed by the Museum of Mallorca, the theater is reproduced, as well as several temples and the mosaics that decorated the homes. Among the discoveries that are exposed stand out several coins and a bronze sculpture of a girl’s head.
