Performance of the Orchestra Acadèmia 1830 within the concert season of Teatre Principal de Palma, in which they will interpret works for string orchestra. The program is dedicated to Israel in Egypt (Oratorio in two parts) of G. Fr. Handel.
The Orchestra Acadèmia 1830, directed by Fernando Marina, was created two years ago and is made up of young professionals and first-rate musicians of Mallorca. It is a flexible and variable formation, which allows it to address a wide symphonic repertoire, from Beethoven to baroque, classical music or composed in the twentieth century.
The orchestra is part of the musical association Acadèmia 1830 whose objective is the dissemination of the large repertoire of classical music in the Balearic Islands, and which also has a choir formation. This enables them to address both the vocal and instrumental genres.
