Under the direction of Alfredo Oyagüez Montero, the Orquestra de Cambra del Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears (Chamber Orchestra of the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands offers this concert in which will perform the soloist Álvaro Arias González, winner of the Concurso Glazunov del Aula de Saxofón (Glazunov Competition of the Saxophone Classroom).
The program consists of: Chiesa Sonata n.12 in C Major KV 278 (WA Mozart), Concerto for saxophone and string, E flat major Op 109 (Glazunov), Symphonic Rhapsody for Piano and Strings Op 66 (J. Turina), Serenade for Strings Op 20 (E. Elgar), Spring Porteña and Summer Porteño (A. Piazzolla).
The concert is part of Mallorca Saxophone Festival 2013, which closes tonight at the Blue Jazz Club with de concert Mozart in jazz, by Gibert Fortuny (saxophone) and Manel Camp (piano).
