Subscription concert of the 2020-2021 season of the Orquestra Simfònica de les Illes Balears (OSIB). It is directed by the titular Pablo Mielgo and has the cellist Pablo Ferrández as soloist.
The program consists of Variations on a Rococo theme op. 33, for cello and orchestra, a work that P.I. Tchaikovsky wrote, apparently with Mozart in mind; and Symphony number 2 op. 73, which Johannes Brahms composed in the summer of 1877 during his visit to the Austrian Alps.
