The new edition of PalmaPhoto changes format and the event changes from a summer night to become a festival with parallel programs that duplicate the artistic offer. PalmaPhoto 2013 is curated by Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta and organized by Art Palma and the Independent Association of Art Galleries Baleares (AIGAB).
Alongside the exhibitions of art galleries in Palma, this year there are two new features. One is the program First_Focus, a form of micro-scholarships exhibition aimed at photographers under thirty which aims to integrate young talents in the circuit of art galleries. This year the chosen space is Aba Art, which displays works of Natxa Pomar, Ana Darder, Marta Pujades, Laura and Sara Torres Tur.
Another novelty is PhotoTalk, a series of conferences, lectures, workshops and panel discussions with photography as an object of reflection.
